Pinkerton's VP of Supply Chain Security, Ms. Bonni Tischler, former Assistant Commissioner of US Customs, was responsible for the creation of C-TPAT. Pinkerton assisted U.S. Customs (now Customs and Border Patrol) in developing the C-TPAT guidelines, chaired the U.S. Treasury Customs Operational Advisory Committee (COAC) Technology Sub-Committee, and is currently on the COAC's Supply Chain Security Subcommittee.
